We attended at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Edinburgh and Fife Peace Conference on Saturday. Together with colleagues from the fire service and other partners, our Safer Communities and local policing officers were privileged to attend such an event.
Dr Abdul Hayee, president of the association, says " The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a fast growing international revival movement within Islam. It spans over 206 countries, with membership exceeding tens of millions. Our current spiritual leader, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, resides in the UK. Our community propagates the true teachings of Islam, and the message of peace, harmony and tolerance within society. We are the leading Islamic organization to categorically reject terrorism in any form. Our motto is ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’."
"Thanks for having us at the peace conference this weekend @AMA_Scotland - was an honour," said Edinburgh Police Division in a Twitter post. "Love for All, Hatred for None - a motto many of us could learn from. Thanks for having us!"
