On December 25th billions of people around the globe will celebrate Christmas. Often the word 'Peace' is associated with the Christmas holiday.
If you were on the streets at the start of the northern line in Morden recently, you may have been greeted with well wishes and handed a leaflet on peace from a youngster belonging to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK.
While some youth today are being radicalised by extremist terror groups. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community worldwide is working to help combat youth radicalisation and convey the true message of Islam to the world.
The word Islam literally means 'peace'. True Islam promotes love, harmony and integration in society. It stresses the importance of good relations with ones neighbours and local community.
The Holy Quran lays emphasis on this saying: "…show kindness to parents, and to kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and to the neighbour that is a kinsman and the neighbour that is a stranger, and the companion by your side, and the wayfarer…" Chapter 4 Verse 37 Under the guidance of the world head and Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Ahmadi Muslim youth are guided in every walk of life.
They grow up to become productive members of society: doctors, lawyers, architects and teachers to name a few. Spreading the motto 'Love for All, Hatred for None' and the true peaceful teachings of Islam is their passion.
The Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community says “Islam teaches us to always be mindful towards God...deal with His creation with love, affection, harmony and tolerance.”
