The Khatme-Nabuwwat movement is particularly obsessed with targeting Ahmadis as it considers them to be apostates. There are several different groups in the UK linked to this movement.

The Bradford man convicted for the ‘religiously inspired’ murder of Asad Shah last year is still inciting violence and hatred from behind bars, Political Scrapbook has learnt.

Tanveer Ahmed was was jailed for 27 years in August last year for stabbing and murdering Shah in his shop in Glasgow. It was motivated by a hatred of his background as an Ahmadi Muslim.

But Ahmed is still inciting violence from behind bars, and his supporters in Pakistan and Britain continue to share his recordings.

This isn’t the first time either. Political Scrapbook reported in September last year that Ahmed was inciting violence from prison.

But prison authorities at Barlinnie Prison in Scotland, where he is held, still don’t seem to have taken action.

The new video featuring Tanveer Ahmed was posted to Facebook by Rizvi Media, a Pakistani page linked to the extremist preacher Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi.

Rizvi is a leader at a group called Fidayan-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwwat in Pakistan.

The Khatme-Nabuwwat movement is particularly obsessed with targeting Ahmadis as it considers them to be apostates. There are several different groups in the UK linked to this movement.

In the video, Ahmed praises the Pakistani terrorist Mumtaz Qadri, convicted to death for murdering Pakistani governor Salman Taseer.

He also denounces Ahmadi Muslims and calls for them to be killed.

The Labour MP Siobhan McDonagh told Political Scrapbook:
It is absolutely shocking that this is still happening. Tanveer Ahmed is an extremist and was responsible for a terrorist act, the murder of a peaceful Ahmadi Muslim, incited by nothing else but the hatred of his victim’s Ahmadi faith. It is absolutely horrendous that after his incarceration, he is able to incite this sort of hatred.
This story shows that organisations like Khatme Nabuwwat are working in UK communities to spread extremism and incite violence in our soil. The UK government must work harder to stop such groups or imams who support their cause operating and preaching in the UK.
I will be taking this matter up with the Chief Executive, Mr Colin McConnell, of the Scottish Prison Service, and Mr Michael Matheson, Cabinet Secretary for Justice.

It is unbelievable the Scottish authorities are still allowing this to happen.
