The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will be delivering a short presentation on Ramadan on Thursday [May 18] from 12.00pm to 1.00pm at Bermuda National Library.
A spokesperson said, “Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting will be welcomed again this year by Muslims around the 27th of May. Muslims fast from dawn to dusk and abstain from all food and drink. It is a time for recharging spiritually.
“A good portion of the nights and days during Ramadan is spent in prayer and recitation of the Holy Quran. Charity, which is already a fundamental teaching in Islam, is doubly emphasized during this month. Muslims fervently look forward to this month of fasting as it is a time for recharging spiritually.
