Canada: Immigration officials offload Toronto-bound Maulana Tariq Jameel at Dubai airport
Afridi told media that the Canadian immigration officials directed the airline to offload Maulana because of issues with his security clearance.

The cleric and preacher Maulana Tariq Jameel was offloaded by the Emirates Airline security officials from its Canada-bound flight at Dubai International Airport yesterday.
A member of the Raiwind, Punjab, based Sunni missionary movement, Tablighi Jamaat, Maulana was travelling to Toronto along with cricketer Shahid Afridi to attend a fundraiser of Afridi's NGO.
Maulana Jameel is known to runs several madrasas (Muslim seminaries) in the Punjab Province of Pakistan.
Afridi told media that the Canadian immigration officials directed the airline to offload Maulana because of issues with his security clearance.
Afridi further said that they are talking to the Canadian authorities for the security clearance in Dubai.
