India: International Ahmadiyya Jalsa Salana Begins in Qadian

123rd  International Jalsa Salana Qadian (Annual Convention) commenced here in Qadian today. Maulana Jalal Uddin Nayyar President Sadr Anjuman Ahmadiyya Qadian and the representative of His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, hosted the Ahmadiyya Flag “Liwae Ahmadiyyat” at 10 15 A.M. in Ahmadiyya Ground near Nangal Bagbana.

On this occasion Jalsa Salana participants raised the slogans “Islama Zinadabad, Ahmadiyyat Zindabad”. After the flag hosting ceremony Maulana Jalal Uddin Nayyar took his hand for prayer in which thousands of Ahmadi peoples joined with him. The inauguration session was started with the recitation of Holy Qura'n.

Maulana Jalal Uddin Nayyar addressed the Jalsa Salana participants. He narated in his speech that founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, The Promised, said that “The primary purpose of this convention is to enable every sincere individual to personally experience religious benefits. They may enhance their knowledge and due to their being blessed and enabled by Allah. The Exalted their perception (Of Allah) may progress. Among its secondary benefits is that this congregational meeting together will promote mutual introduction among all brothers and it will strengthen the fraternal ties within this community.”

Maulana Nayyar advised the Jalsa Salana participants to remain engrossed in the remembrance of Allah, invocation of blessings of Allah on the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and be regular and punctual in congregational five times prayers.

After Maulana Nayyar's address Maulana Karim Uddin Shahid delivered a lecture on the topic of “The Existence of God”.

He said in his speech there is only one Allah who created this world. He gave many examples about Allah existence.

His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad will address this congregation on 31st December around 4 PM.

Thousands of Ahmadi Muslim women are also participating in the Jalsa Salana Qadian at the ladies gathering area near the Ahmadiyya Ground.

Police has made strict security arrangements. Opinderjit Singh Ghuman PPS Senior Superintendent of Police, District Batala, is personally looking after the security arrangements here in Qadian.

He told this correspondent that there are 21 exist point where police has been deployed and sealed the Qadian city. There are 7 police barricades in the city. He further told that Police has fixed Light machine guns in the area to protect the gathering against any mischief.
