Jammu and Kashmir: Ahmadiyyas to hold peace symposium in Jammu on Feb 18


Gohar Hafeez Fani of Ahmadiyya delegation invited the governor to the symposium, saying it was one of the flagship events of the community and would be held in Jammu on February 18 to deliberate on "Justice in an Unjust World".

'Message of peace and harmony in the state'

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community will organise its fifth peace symposium here later this month as part of its efforts to promote peace and harmony in the world.

A delegation of the community conveyed the same to Governor N N Vohra here today, an official spokesman said.

He said the delegation, led by Gohar Hafeez Fani, invited the governor to the symposium, saying it was one of the flagship events of the community and would be held in Jammu on February 18 to deliberate on "Justice in an Unjust World".

The delegation presented several books to the governor, who urged the community to continue their sustained endeavours in spreading the message of peace and harmony in the state, the spokesman said.
