Belize: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to hold basketball tournament

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is having its basketball finals this Sunday at the Civic in Belize City. Basketball teams from Belize and Mexico will converge to prove that they are the best team of their category. President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Naveed Mangla shared why you should attend Sunday’s game.
Naveed Mangla, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community: “For those of you that are watching and have not visited Civic Center this will be your ideal opportunity because this is a free event. We are not charging anybody to be here so please come out and support these kids Sunday from 12-4 pm right here at Civic.”
Hipolioto Novelo: So what can spectators anticipate in terms of will it be fierce competitive matches between the teams.
Naveed Mangla, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community: “The competition is very high, as I said there were 36 teams at around 12 to 13 teams per category so the two teams that you guys are going to see on Sunday are the best one in their category. When I say the best one I mean the best talent you can accumulate from the whole country and Chetumal and Baccalar because players are coming from there to so if you want to see the best talent that Belize has to offer for these three categories as I mentioned before this is your opportunity please come and support these kids that have been working very hard for the past three months.”
The tournament starts at 2pm and as Mangla said, there is no charge for the entrance.
