MISSISSAUGA – Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at (AMJ) Canada ran a national campaign during Ramadan to bridge the gap and connect with fellow Canadians.

The campaign, titled ‘Fast with a Muslim Friend,’ was aimed at sharing the experience of Ramadan with fellow Canadians. It offered people a chance to participate in various activities with Ahmadiyya Muslims.

According to an AMJ Canada press release, while fasting is common among most faiths including Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism, fasting during Ramadan is particularly sacred in Islam.

The campaign was launched on June 28. The AMJ hopes the drive helped remove certain misconceptions about their religion.
