USA: Interfaith service held to commemorate tragedy of 9-11 terror attacks in Harrisburg


Mayor Eric Papenfuse provided opening remarks at the commemoration that was sponsored by his Interfaith Advisory Council, the Interfaith Alliance and the Religion and Society Center.

HARRISBURG — "No Compulsion in Religion" was the theme of an interfaith commemoration of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks held Thursday evening at Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church.

Mayor Eric Papenfuse provided opening remarks at the commemoration that was sponsored by his Interfaith Advisory Council, the Interfaith Alliance and the Religion and Society Center.

Author Qasim Rashid was the keynote speaker. Rashid also is an attorney and national spokesperson for Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA.  His latest book is "#TalkToMe: Changing the Narrative on Race, Religion, & Education."
