Sri Lanka: Ahmadiyya Delegation Meets Parliament Speaker, Presents Quran Sinhala Translation
A copy of the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an with some other litrature including Peace Messages in English as well as Sinhala were presented to the Speaker.

A delegation led by Mr. M.A. Anis Ahmad, National Vice-President, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – Sri Lanka, met the Sri Lanka Parliament Speaker, Honorable Karu Jeyasuriya, at his office in Parliament Complex today, the 13th October, 2015.
At this meeting, the Speaker showed keen interest to know about the community. Mr Anas put forward the brief introduction and the claim of the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, India.
The Speaker was also made to know about the basic difference between the Ahmadis and the main stream Muslims.
When the service to mankind through the charity organization, Humanity First, was brought to the notice of the Speaker, he was impressed to know the services being rendered by the community and the financial sacrifice being rendered by the community members. On the topic of Islamic TV channel, Muslim Television Ahmadiyya, the Speaker was informed how it creates a strong bond and love between the community's spiritual leader, the Khalifa, and the members of the community; and that this is the only community in Islam which is blessed with Spiritual Leadership and uses the term “ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’.
The Speaker was also told about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, in Ireland Parliament, and recently the Dutch Parliament. He was informed about the gist of His Holiness' address during the recent Dutch Parliament visit.
A copy of the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an with some other literature including Peace Messages in English as well as Sinhala were presented to the Speaker. He said: He accepts this Holy Book with utmost dignity.
The delegation consisting Mr. M.A. Anis Ahmad, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad, Mr. A. Abdul Aziz and Mr. Rifthi were given a warm welcome by the Private Secretary to the Speaker at the beginning.
The media unit of the Speaker interviewed the delegation in length.
