Australia: Adelaide Ahmadi Muslims Organize Holy Quran Exhibition in Port Augusta

While the Exhibition and Bookstall was being held at the city center, the Ahmadi members went out in five teams to the local streets of the city to distribute pamphlets door to door.  Around 10,000 pamphlets were distributed.

For the second time a  Quran Exhibition was held in the regional city of Port Augusta in South Australia, a remote town of 13,500 population located some 350 kilometers north of Adelaide.

A group of 16 members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's Mehmood Mosque in Adelaide traveled to Port Augusta on Saturday, November 21, and setup the exhibition in the main market area of the city which attracted abundance of interest by the general public.

At the exhibition organizers displayed Holy Quran translations in 20 different languages along with the variety of other literature, including Life of Mohammad, The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam and the World Crisis and The Pathway To Peace. In handout pamphlets, Muslim for peace, Muslim for loyalty, Muhammad in bible and Messiah has come were displayed and distributed.

President of the Adelaide South chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Fareed Bajwah said the Holy Quran exhibitions are being organized pursuant to the instructions from the community's worldwide head, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, to convey the message of Islam to the Australian Community. "We have travelled to port Augusta for the second time. It was a successful event as we got very positive response from the locals here.”

The organizers say it is the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s mission is to spread the true and peaceful teachings of Islam throughout the world, adding that it's in the fulfillment of the revelation given by God to the community's 19th century founder Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, India, which explicitly stated “I shall cause thy message to the corners of the Earth.”

"One of the methods is by holding Quran Exhibitions all around the world."
