The worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s Southern California chapter in Chino condemns the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels, Belgium, that left 31 dead and hundreds injured in multiple suicide bombings.

Mohammed Zafarullah, the Imam and regional missionary at the Ahmadiyya Community’s Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino, offered his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and urged authorities to bring those responsible swiftly to justice.

“We stand with the victims and the people of Belgium in their time of tragedy, and our hearts and prayers are with them,” the Imam said. "Islam does not condone any form of terrorism by anyone."

“If someone claims they are doing such evil in the name of Islam, there are completely misguided, Imam added.

Imam asserted that terrorism is never justified and all those who commit these atrocities clearly ignore basic principles of Islam. "God says plainly in chapter 5, verse 32 of the Holy Quran that: “Whosoever kills an innocent person it is as if he has killed all mankind...,” Imam further said.

Imam Zafarullah noted that tens of millions Ahmadi Muslims in over 200 countries, collectively through their local leadership, have condemned whole-heartedly these barbaric attacks on innocent civilians in this latest act of terrorism by ISIS members.

The Brussels attacks were apparently carried out in revenge for the capture of the mastermind of the Paris attacks, Salah Abdesalam, who was arrested last week.

Imam Zafarullah pointed out that Abdesalam's history of involvement with drugs and alcohol, both prohibited by Islam, show the extreme disregard such extremists have for the teachings of Islam.

In response to the continuing threat posed by such Islamist extremists, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA recently launched its latest campaign called “True Islam and the Extremists” (TrueIslam.com) designed to reach out to both Muslims and non-Muslims to educate them about 11 key teachings of Islam that disprove the ISIS agenda and propaganda aimed at radicalizing Muslims.

In the interests of promoting peace, justice and solidarity, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community urges all Americans to stand with us against ISIS and other so-called “Islamic” terrorists by endorsing the 11 points of what Islam truly teaches by going online to TrueIslam.com today.
