UK: Newcastle Muslim women's group raises money for British Red Cross

Women auxiliary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Newcastle raising funds for British Red Cross
Organiser Shafia Saeed of Gateshead said: "Women auxiliary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, Newcastle has raised funds for British Red Cross at Ikea Gateshead and Tesco Jesmond on April 29 and May 7.
"The women regularly raise money for charities across the UK including McMillan, diabetes UK, Royal British Legion etc. It is the testimony of the positive engagement of the women into their community."
The Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: "Muslims are obliged to be loyal to the country in which they live. Safeguarding one’s country is an important principle of Islam and in fact is an important principle of peace."
