Canada: Hundreds gather for the Calgary Ahmadiyya Muslim Peace Symposium

"Currently we’re seeing the world is in some sort of disorder"

Over 700 distinguished guests, including the Mayor, Police Chief, as well as politicians from all levels of government, gathered in northeast Calgary Friday night for a the Calgary Peace Symposium.

The event comes at a time of global unrest and heightened tensions among world powers. World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at, the Caliph, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad was the keynote speaker at the Symposium and travels around the world spreading the message of peace.

Usman Mahmood, a volunteer at the event says it’s an honour to have the Caliph speak here in Calgary.

“His message is very loud and clear which is that all communities regardless of their faith and regardless of their backgrounds need to come together to save this world from catastrophe. Currently we’re seeing the world is in some sort of disorder, so His mission is to unite everyone and bring them all under one roof and have a healthy conversation ins a peaceful manner.”

His Holiness is wrapping up a six week Canadian tour which included stops across the nation, and a meeting with the Prime Minister.
