The Gambia: Ahmadiyya Muslims assist Tallinding fire victims
He urged victims to take heart and know that the disaster was Allah’s will, and prayed to Allah to prevent them from encountering such disasters.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaa’at The Gambia, in collaboration with the Tallinding Constituency National Assembly Member, Fatoumatta Jawara, on 12 November 2017 supported three families of the Tallinding fire outbreak with cash, food and non-food items.
Speaking at the presentation, the Amir of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaa’at The Gambia, Baba Trawally, described the fire outbreak as a disaster since nothing was retrieved from the two families’ houses.
Amir Trawally thanked the Tallinding Constituency NAM for informing them about the disaster as well as supporting the victims, saying if people are under you, their needs, sadness and happiness should be yours.
He urged victims to take heart and know that the disaster was Allah’s will, and prayed to Allah to prevent them from encountering such disasters.
He also called on parents to be vigilant with children with regards to candles and matches and keep them away from their reach to avoid such disasters happening because disasters caused by candles are always serious.
He called for more support to the affected families so that they could all smile together.
He further called on people to be united as there could not be development without peace and unity.
Fatoumatta Jawara, National Assembly Member for Tallinding Constituency, commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaa’at The Gambia for their prompt response and also thanked natives of Tallinding for their support.
She appealed to philanthropists, government and everyone who could help to chip in and support the victims who lost all their properties in the fire outbreak.
Ebrima Fofana, representing the KMC mayor, also appealed to donor agencies to support the victims.
Fabakary Jammeh, the landlord commended relatives of the fire victims and the Gambia Fire Rescue Service for the prompt response in putting off the fire.
