Sri Lanka: Quran Sinhala Translation gift to State Minister of Lands

Minister commended the task of Ahmadiyya Community on translating Holy Qur’an into 76 languages and delighted to know its Sinhala Translation published to mark the Centenary of the establishment of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Sri Lanka.

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and Mr. I. Shakeel Ahmad (Photographer) visited to Ministry of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms in Colombo today (24/01/2018).

Ministry Officials welcomed the delegation and served a cup of tea and arranged to meet Hon. T.B. Ekanayake, State Minister of Lands. The event was arranged as the prior appointment was given in by the Ministry.

Prior to the presentation of the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the Minister, Jama’at delegation briefed to the Minister about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at by showing the picture of Promised Messiah, peace be on him, and said that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (a.s.) claimed to be the Promised Reformer of this age as foretold in four major religions of the world, namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam.

After the Promised Messiah, demise, it was explained, the system of Khilafath established in this Community as of system of Caliph established after the demise of Prophet of Islam (PBUH). While pointed out this, it was observed Minister was also aware of Islamic history on this very point. Minister showed interest to keep the photo of Promised Messiah and was given in.

Introducing the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace – A compilation of addresses in various Parliaments by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, May Allah Strengthen his hands, it was told about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, UK Parliament, Ireland Parliament, New Zealand Parliament, Dutch Parliament, Canada Parliament and so on so forth.

The delegation pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community in Islam which has Spiritual Leadership established by God and termed as ““ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’. Our Motto: Love For All; Hatred For None, Minister was told.

Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation as well as the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace were presented to the Minister.

On request, M.C.R. Ranga Sri Pieris, the Media Secretary to the Minister was also presented Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation as well as the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace.
