Sri Lanka: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Celebrates "Promised Messiah Day"
The Masih Mauood Day events were also held in Ahmadiyya Centers in Negombo, Pasyala, Puttalam and Polonnaruwa. Pakistani Ahmadi asylum-seekers and refugees also held Masih Maauood Day in Negombo.

Masih Maouood Day celebrations were held in all Centers of Jama’at Ahmadiyya Sri Lanka on 24 and 25 March 2018.
The event was held in Colombo at Baithul Hamd premises in the presence of National President A.H. Nasir Ahmad.
The programme started with the Holy Qur’an recitation followed by Urdu Nazm, composed by Promised Messiah (a.s.)
In his address, National President Mr. A.H. Nasir Ahmad highlighted the advent of Promised Messiah and the historical background of the establishment of Jama’at by the Promised Messiah (a.s.)
Chief Missionary A.B. Musthaq Ahmad introduced Ahmadiyyath and the truth of Ahmadiyyath based on Holy Qur’an and the prophecies of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
S. Nizam Khan, Sadr, Jama’at Ahmadiyya Colombo quoted writing of Promised Messiah (a.a.) in his book: The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam.
Murabbi Javed Raheem also addressed the event that includes Urdu Tharana by Athfal.
The Masih Mauood Day events were also held in Ahmadiyya Centers in Negombo, Pasyala, Puttalam and Polonnaruwa. Pakistani Ahmadi asylum-seekers and refugees also held Masih Maauood Day in Negombo.
Large number of Ahmadi men women and children attended the events that concluded with silent prayer.
To mark the event, gift packages (including the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace – A compilation of addresses in various Parliaments by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, May Allah Strengthen his hands,) were personally handed over by the Ahmadiyya delegation to Secretaries of various Ministries of Government of Sri Lanka and also a mark of gratitude to them as they were the one who arranged meetings with Ministers to gift Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation.
