UK: Women in Islam exhibition at Northumbria University and Hijab workshop at Newcastle College
The initiative was very much appreciated by all. Many ladies including students, staff, employees of other organisations tried Hijab on and they all loved it very much.

Women Auxiliary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association held a Women in Islam exhibition at Northumbria University to clarify the misconceptions about women in Islam. Many students took interest in this exhibition and their perceptions have been changed after discussing the rights of women given by Islam. Along with the exhibition, a seminar was also held by university in relation to women’s international day where various guest speakers talk about women’s role in the 21st century.
Shafia Saeed presented the role of Muslim Women in the society. She explained that the role of women does not change whether she lives in a non-Muslim society or in a modern time or in developed nation.
Women Auxiliary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Newcastle held a Hijab workshop at Newcastle College in relation to Internal Women’s Day. This initiative was very much appreciated by all. Many ladies including students, staff, employees of other organisations tried Hijab on and they all loved it very much.
