BANGLADESH: AHMADIYYA MUSLIM COMMUNITY TO ARRANGE EVENT TO PROMOTE INTER-FAITH HARMONY

DHAKA - The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Bangladesh has arranged an inter-faith get-together at 4:00 PM on Saturday, 16th January, 2010.

The event entitled ‘Inter-Faith Harmony’ will be held at the National Headquarters of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Bangladesh, located at 4, Bakshi Bazar Road, Dhaka.

The speakers slated to speak at the event include Dr. Poresh Chandra Mondal, Professor of Sanskrit & Pali from Department of World Religion at University of Dhaka; Ven. Dharma Mitra Mohathero, Chief Abbot at International Buddhist Monastery; Father James Cruze from CBCB Center in Mohammadpur, Dhaka; and Maolana Abdul Awwal Khan Chowdhury, Missionary In-charge of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Bangladesh.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Worldwide values the interfaith interaction, for educating one another regarding each other’s faiths and philosophical traditions. The interfaith concept is a unifying vehicle, which can aid everyone in bringing the reformation of the world nearer to reality.
