UK: AHMADIYYA MUSLIM COMMUNITY OFFERS PRAYERS FOR VICTIMS OF HAITI EARTHQUAKE

Humanity First deployed its Disaster Response Team to the affected areas

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat offers its sincere condolences to the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti earlier today. According to news reports tens of thousands of people are feared dead and potentially millions have been displaced.

Humanity First, an international disaster relief charity, set up by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, has immediately deployed its Disaster Response Team to the affected areas with emergency supplies. Preliminary relief efforts will be concentrated on food aid, water, medical assistance and emotional support.

The Press Spokesman of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Abid Khan said:

“This is a truly tragic incident in which so many people have died. The level of devastation can scarcely be comprehended. Our prayers are with all those who have been affected by the earthquake. May God Almighty grant them strength and patience at this time.”
