In the heart of Manhattan, smack dab in the middle of Times Square on 42nd street, Muslims are promoting peace. “Peace be with you, brother,” is being spoken by members who stand underneath an electronic billboard between 7th and 8th, where a 15-second spot runs. “Muslims for Peace, Muslims for Love, Muslims for Loyalty,1-800 WHY ISLAM The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
This group is intent on letting the world know, especially New York that the beliefs of the old sect are not theirs. They hand out flyers saying they rejects “jihad of the sword” in favor of “jihad of the pen.” In a time when we are judged by where we were born this group is trying to break that mold.
