The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Ireland will host its Annual Interfaith Peace Conference this Saturday at the g Hotel.

The conference, which is open to the public, is to be addressed by Rabbi Yanky Fachler, representing Judaism; Richard Kimbell, a Galway based Quaker, representing Christianity; and Imam Ataul Mujeeb Rashid, a renowned Islamic scholar and Imam of the London Mosque.

The topic of this year’s conference is Religion’s Role in Societal Peace. The conference will start at 5pm and finish by 7pm.

“The main purpose in organising this conference is to promote peace among people from all religions,” said Ahmadiyya spokesman Imran Ahmed Sheikh. “People from all faiths, background, ethnicities are invited to share common values in order to form basis of understanding, tolerance and respect for each other in the society where we all live together.”
