The first batch of Ahmadi Muslim missionaries from the UK campus of the Ahmadiyya Muslim seminary of higher religious learning, Jamia Ahmadiyya, graduated today, it was reported.
The Khalīfa of Islam and the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hadhrat [His Holiness] Mirza Masroor Ahmad, presided over the convocation ceremony.
According to the information posted by the community’s media desk on Twitter, the popular micro-blogging and social media website, 23 missionaries were part of the graduating class of 2012.
Each graduate received a certificate and a special prize from His Holiness Hadhrat Ahamd, it was further reported.
Hadhrat Ahmad addressed the graduating missionaries and advised them that “their education had only just begun.”
His Holiness reminded the missionaries that they must always adopt an attitude of absolute humility and always strive to follow the example of the Holy Founder of Islam, the Holy Prophet Mohammad.
"Always remember that all successes are due to the Blessings of Allah the Almighty," Hadhrat Ahmad was quoted to have said in his address. “Never consider yourselves to be perfect, as the only perfect person in the history of the world was the Holy Prophet Muhammad.”
"Every act of a Missionary should be one that helps and benefits others," His Holiness further advised the graduating class.
The community announced that more information about the event will be made available in their forthcoming press release.
The video recording of the Jamia Ahmadiyya UK convocation ceremony with his Holiness will be broadcast on Tuesday, 12th June and Sunday, 17th June, it was announced by Muslim Television Ahmadiyya, the 24-hour broadcast system of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
