[UPDATE] This story has been updated to reflect the correct age of the accused which is 11 years. Previously we reported the age to be 13 years based upon early reporting. We apologize for the initial inaccuracy.

An 1 years old Christian girl  is arrested in Islamabad on the charges that she allegedly burned a copy of the Holy Quran.

Ramisha, resident of Meherabadi, a slum area in G-11 sector of Pakistani Capital, Islamabad, was charged under section 298-B of Pakistan Penal Code.

A local Muslims resident, Muhammad Amjid, registered a complaint at Ramna Police station that he had witnessed Ramisha burn the Holy Quran .

Police has registered FIR (First Information report) No. 303/12  and  Ramna was sent to Adiala Jail.

Farrukh H. Saif, Executive Director of World Vision in Progress Foundation, says the organization has reached the girl and her family in hopes to provide the legal help.

"The ground situation is very bad," says Farrukh H. Saif. "Christians had left their homes and they are hiding in different place whereas the family of Rimsha is also under ground."

Muslims of the slum area of Islamabad, said Saif, were in great annoyance, "and stated that they will burn every Christian of this area."
