A youth group took on the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the British Red Cross at the weekend.
Thirty members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) - including three from Yorkshire - climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just 30 hours.
Yousf Aftab, a national AMYA community leader, said: “We have chosen to support the British Red Cross as its efforts save precious lives in disaster-struck areas - every pound will help them immensely. Please give generously.”
Kamal Aftab, from Huddersfield, Aziz Hafiz from Bradford and Rana Maqbool Ahmad from Doncaster formed the Yorkshire contingent in the group. British Red Cross Director of Fundraising, Mark Astarita, said: “We are very grateful to AMYA for taking on this challenge to raise money for the British Red Cross. The money they have raised will help vulnerable people in crisis both here in the UK and overseas.”
