Quoting from chapter 10 of the Holy Quran, Imam Shamshad said living in peace goes hand-in-hand with justice, respect, and better understanding of each other.
"Everyone know the expression 'you can't just talk the talk -- you have to walk the walk,' Imam Shamshad said. "But now days this saying has become so well known that I feel it no longer has the impact that it should."
"Therefore," Imam reminded, "in order to impress it more deeply on our minds, we must all strive to "walk the talk"."
Reverend James Pike, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church appreciated Imam's message of peace.
There were several faith-tradition organizations represented at the event including, Islam, Judaism, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Baha'i, First Church of Christ Scientist, St. Anthony Catholic Church, and Unity Church of Pomona.
