This tweet was brought to the notice of the mosque administration in Wilson Garden, Bengaluru, who lodged a complaint with the Wilson Garden police on July 13.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Sandeep Patil told The Hindu that an IP address analysis revealed that the tweet went out from a mobile phone. “We tracked down the phone to a cloth merchant in Bengaluru, Sarfuddin. He was in Belagavi on a business trip from where we arrested him,” he said.
