By: HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Muslims all over America and right here in central Pennsylvania are condemning Wednesday's deadly mass shooting in San Bernardino.
A vigil was held Friday at the Haadee Mosque in Harrisburg. Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community say the shooting goes against the teachings of Islam, and leaders want to set the record straight on Islam.
"We believe in the peaceful teaching of Islam. Islam has no place for any offensive war, any act of violence. These actions are not justifiable at all based on any religious teachings," Mubashir Mumtaz, spokesman for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Central PA, said.
Friday's vigil also remembered victims in other attacks by people claiming to represent Islam. A candlelight vigil will be held at the Haadee Mosque Saturday afternoon at 4:30.
