The Virginia Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, saying it expresses its deepest condolences for the victims of the terrorist attacks that took place in Brussels, Belgium and Lahore, Pakistan, is conducting a fast for peace Thursday, March 31.

“These tragic events are a grave reminder that terrorism is a crime against humanity that knows no bounds. Our hearts go out to the innocent victims and their families and we stand in solidarity with our Christian brothers, sisters, and children whose lives were brutally killed in these attacks,” the mosque’s leaders said in a press release. “As peaceloving Muslims, we proclaim that such barbaric acts of terrorism have no place in Islam.”

“We invite our friends and neighbors to join us as we open our fast and hold an interfaith prayer to express our solidarity with the victims and their families. Let’s take a stand against terrorism,” the group said.
