India: Ahmadi Muslims attacked in twon of Gonnikoppal, Karnataka, South India

While one person sustained mild injuries, the second victim, who happened to be the president of the local Ahmadiyya chapter, is reported to be seriously hurt and admitted to the hospital.

Two leaders of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Gonikoppal, a small town in the Kodagu district of the Indian state of Karnataka, were attacked in the early dawn hours on Sunday, June 26th.

Reportedly, about 20 known anti-Ahmadi extremists converged on the Ahmadiyya Jamaat's Community Hall at Fajr (dawn) prayers time and attacked the victims as they were leaving after offering their prayers.

While one person sustained mild injuries, the second victim, who happened to be the president of the local Ahmadiyya chapter, is reported to be seriously hurt and admitted to the hospital.

Reports indicate that the attack may have resulted from a sense of jealousy felt by the opponents of the Ahmadiyya Muslims after the small community of about 50 members built a nice community ceneter which was finally opened after several delays caused by the opponents' actions.

The anti-Ahmadiyya sentiments were further aroused when Ahmadiyyas saw some of their long-lost members returning to the folds and new potential converts interested in the Islam-Ahmadiyya teachings.

    Are they going to make a second Pakistan in India, What is the great Indian Authority is doing about this injustice,India has been very peaceful place for everyone, are they going to allow the terrorist take over their country too,it is very sad what is this world is coming to, terrorist taking over every country one by one.Or India is going to stand against terrorism strict and strong and let not roots of terrorism take ground in India
