Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Glen Ellyn chapter is celebrating Ramadan, the Ninth Islamic Holy Month by gathering in the mosque.

Ahmadi Muslims flock from different suburban towns of Chicago to listen to spiritually enlightening dars which is delivered by Imam Shamshad A. Nasir every day from 7:10 pm till sunset followed by a question and answer session before Aftar. In his dars Imam Shamshad tells us the significance of Ramadhan in the light of Quran, Hadees and sayings of the Promised Messiah.

Along with the topic of Ramadhan, Imam Shamshad narrates moral boosting Islamic stories which are motivating children while helping adults to increase their knowledge. In his dars, Imam is also shedding light on 'Obedience' to Nizam and Allah.

After feeding one's soul through dars, later members break the fast and enjoy a delicious meal together. Also, prayers in congregation are held along with taravee prayers.

Ahmadi Muslims will continue these Ramadhan activities for 30 days will end on July 5th. Thus, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Glen Ellyn Chapter is hosting prayers and Iftar (dinner) events during Ramadan to raise awareness of this month within the Ahmadi Muslims and non-Muslim community. These dinners are open to the public.
