No fewer than 17 new Missionaries graduated from the Jamia Ahmadiyya in Germany a few days ago after a four-year course and were presented with degree certificates.
The event which held at the Riedstadt, Germany was graced by the Ahmadiyya World leader, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad who presented the certificates to the new graduands.
Hazra Masroor Mirza Ahmad During the ceremony, 16 graduates who are nationals of Germany, Bulgaria, France and Switzerland became official Missionaries and Imams of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. One other graduand was awarded with a ‘Mubashar Degree’ certificate.
Addressing the graduates, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: “At a personal level, you must continue to strive to increase your knowledge, as the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that the pursuit of knowledge should continue throughout one’s life. At the same time, you must endeavour to raise the spiritual and moral standards of the members of the Community, whilst also propagating the true and peaceful message of Islam to all quarters.”
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued: “In order to fulfil your responsibilities, it is of paramount importance that you develop a strong and everlasting bond with Allah the Almighty. If you do not have such a personal connection with Allah you will be unable to fulfil your pledge of giving precedence to your faith over all worldly matters and you will not be able to fulfil your duty of bringing others closer to Allah.”
Stressing the importance of continued learning, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: “Aside from paying attention to your worship, you must reflect upon the deeper meanings of the Holy Qur’an and study its commentary. You should continue reading the books of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) every day as they offer the best interpretation of the Holy Qur’an. Only if you have true knowledge of the Qur’an will you be in a position to answer the questions and allegations raised against Islam.”
His Holiness said Ahmadi Muslim Missionaries must never be prone to an inferiority complex or harbour embarrassment about Islam and must remain firm in their faith no matter what.
