To the Editor:
This Ahmadiyya Muslim American wishes his Jewish siblings a Happy Hanukkah, his Christian siblings a Merry Christmas, and all his other siblings under God a better New Year in 2018. As the joyous holiday season is upon us, we again enter into a spiritual juncture of unifying proportions. Yet, we never have to wait to unite in dialogue and action with one another to herald absolute justice, peace and “love for all, hatred for none.”
Being a Muslim, I’m taught by Allah and Prophet Muhammad to keep alive the examples of Abraham, Moses and his mother, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Confucius, Jesus and Mary, and thousands of enlightened others around the world. In our time, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was sent as the same Messiah promised by world religions to bring humanity back to its true Creator and us back to caring about each other.
His Holiness, 5th Khalifa or Successor, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, advances the same today as the worldwide head of my Ahmadiyya Muslim community. It was under his auspices that we launched Coffee, Cake and True Islam meet ups. I encourage you to find out why Fridays at 7 pm in the House of Peace Mosque, 410 Main St., Meriden.
So, before or after watching the “Last Jedi,” become a real peacekeeping Jedi by visiting our spiritually charged conversations to advance the power of illuminating reformation in a dark era. May God’s Force be with you.
